About This Book
This report examines the long term quality of life outcomes of the seven most common primary prostate cancer treatments.
Recently, a lot of recent press attention and medical surveys have focused on the high rates of unnecessary invasive treatments and their permanent and severe side effects. These treatments are often undertaken to address low-grade cancers that would have no impact on the patient’s life expectancy or quality of life.
This is important for prostate cancer treatments as the condition itself is slow to progress, and in many cases poses limited risk to a person’s quality of life and life expectancy.
The purpose of this report is to provide men considering some form of prostate cancer treatment with an unbiased resource to help them make an informed decision.
